Sewa Bharti Samiti — An Introduction

Sewa Bharti Samiti is a non-governmental organisation that carries out service work among economically and socially backward and deprived sections in urban slum settlements and rural areas. The organisation works in the fields of free education, free healthcare, skill development and social harmony.

Our Vision

Rooted in the profound ethos of Nar Sewa, Narayan Sewa, Sewa Bharti Samiti Rajasthan goes beyond traditional charity. “Together We Can” is the driving force behind our mission to transform marginalized communities into self-sustaining ecosystems of support.

We believe that true social transformation is achieved only when an individual, once empowered by society, feels a deep moral responsibility to give back.

Message from the Secretary

When we extend support—whether by providing a scholarship to a child from a nomadic community or securing critical rehabilitation for a patient—we are not just addressing an immediate need; we are investing in a future leader.
By integrating the profound, character-building concepts of our ancient Gurukul traditions into modern welfare, we forge capable, self-reliant citizens who remember their roots.
‘Together We Can’ means that as our family grows, the individuals who once walked through our doors seeking guidance will eventually walk out as our strongest pillars, ready to serve the next generation.

Mission

To uplift the socially, educationally and economically backward, deprived and neglected members of society, making them self-reliant, self-respecting and self-sufficient, and thereby to build a healthy, harmonious and organised society.

To run all service activities without any discrimination of sect, caste, class, region, language or belief, and to foster faith in and devotion to the spirit of the nation; and to extend every possible help during natural calamities such as floods, earthquakes, droughts, fires and epidemics.

Our Aims & Objectives

The core mission of Sewa Bharti Samiti Rajasthan is rooted in the holistic upliftment of society's most vulnerable sections. Our primary objectives are designed to foster an egalitarian, self-reliant, and culturally grounded nation:

Educational Empowerment (Shiksha): To provide accessible, value-based education to children from underprivileged, remote, and nomadic communities. We aim to integrate modern learning with the foundational values of the Gurukul tradition to build strong, ethical character.
Healthcare & Rehabilitation (Swasthya): To deliver comprehensive medical care, wellness programs, and specialized health facilities—including advanced physiotherapy and neuro-therapy units—to marginalized populations who lack access to primary healthcare.
Skill Development & Livelihood (Swavalamban): To eradicate poverty and unemployment by equipping youth and women with industry-relevant skills. Through vocational training centers and strategic internship partnerships, we empower individuals to achieve economic independence.
Fostering Social Harmony (Samajik Samarasata): To actively work towards the elimination of social discrimination and societal divides, building a united and harmonious community where every individual is treated with dignity and respect.
Cultural Preservation & Values: To instill a deep sense of national pride, social responsibility, and cultural heritage in the younger generation, ensuring that traditional wisdom is preserved and carried forward.
Disaster Relief & Crisis Management: To mobilize volunteers and provide immediate humanitarian aid, rescue operations, and rehabilitation services to communities affected by natural calamities or unforeseen crises.
Collaborative Social Impact: To forge strong partnerships with corporate entities for CSR initiatives, government institutions, and educational boards to expand the scale, funding, and sustainability of our social welfare projects.

Organizational Structure

For administrative purposes, the 33 districts of Rajasthan are organised into 3 Prants, 20 Vibhags, 71 districts and 7 metropolitan units, with committees and sub-committees formed at every block and tehsil centre. All registered committees of the divisions and districts are affiliated. There are 1,431 Sewa Bastis in the cities, and in rural areas every village has been designated as the last unit of work.

Regular meetings at every level, training camps and regular visits by office-bearers ensure that the work and the Karyakartas are properly supported.

The organisation runs 1610 service projects across the entire region, directly or through affiliated organisations.
